Explorers Day

This program is a one-day camp experience! From the minute they arrive at camp, our staff will be ready to welcome them and begin a day (9:30AM to 4:00 PM) of play in God’s Creation as they make friends, sing songs, and hear stories about God’s love. Swimming in Lake Morgan is often a highlight of the day for campers, so be sure to bring a swimsuit (and a PFD) to enjoy a mid-day splash!

Campers will be broken up into “color groups” with one of our excellent staff-members leading each group, so your child can make personal connections on a smaller scale, and get to know the large group as well!

Schedule

• Arrival/Mixers/Introductions – Get to know your fellow campers and learn a little about camp!
• Group Game – Run around and laugh together
• Worship – We gather to sing, pray, and hear the Word
• Bible Party – Games and activities help us explore the Bible and talk about God together
• Arts & Crafts – Let’s get creative and make something cool together!
• Lunch – Our cook provides delicious, kid-friendly and nutritious food for an active day!
• Quiet Time – Sabbath is important, and a busy day at camp means a little rest can give campers energy to enjoy the day to the fullest!
• Swimming – Many campers’ favorite part of the day, Lake Morgan is our private, spring fed lake, perfect for swimming!
• Snack – A healthy snack helps keep our energy high to run around and enjoy camp!

While your child is having a blast at camp, parents can visit nearby Park Rapids with great local food and shopping downtown, parks and coffee shops to keep you busy throughout the day!

We recommend packing everything in a backpack. There will be a designated place for them to leave their backpacks so they don’t have to carry them all day.
