Camp Counselor

Openings: 12

Requirements: Must be 18 years of age or older.

Preferred Qualifications: One year removed from high school, must be 18 years of age or older.

Provide leadership and supervision for 6-10 campers in grades 2-12, and PreK-6 in a day camp setting. Counselors will be in charge of facilitating safety at all times, as well as bible studies, small group games, afternoon activities, worships and devotions, and leading canoe trips. Counselors will serve both on-site and off-site at day camps.

$400 per week

Worship Coordinator

Openings: 1

Requirements: Must be 18 years of age or older.

Preferred Qualifications: One year of camp experience, two years of college, 21 years of age or older, and a valid driver's license.

Works in accordance with the Program Director, Summer Program Director, counselors, support staff and others in the implementation of daily activities and events each week. On-site duties will include worship planning and leading, arts & crafts, bible study prep, and other necessary tasks. This role will also be responsible for helping develop the Day Camp programming, especially in regards to worships, and assisting with leadership on up to 3 off-site Day Camps.

$400 per week

Waterfront & Wilderness Director

Requirements: Must be 18 years of age or older.

Preferred Qualifications: One year of camp experience, two years of college, 21 years of age or older, and a valid driver's license.

Works in accordance with the Program Director, Summer Program Director, counselors, support staff and others in the implementation of daily activities and events each week. On-site duties will include supervising and directing lifeguarding staff, maintaining documentation and implementation of waterfront procedures, developing and facilitating outdoor education activities, packing for campout and canoe trips, transporting participants to off-site adventures, and other necessary tasks. This role will also be responsible for helping develop the Day Camp programming, especially in regards to outdoor activities, and assisting with leadership on up to 3 off-site Day Camps.

$400 per week

Media & Arts Director

Openings: 1

Requirements: One year of camp experience, must be 18 years of age or older.

Preferred Qualifications: One year of camp experience at Pathways, two years of college, 21 years of age or older.

Responsible for taking pictures, filming, and uploading pictures for social media communications, creating end of the week videos, and working with the Program Director to create promotional content for social media and future use. Other responsibilities may include assisting with creative worship elements, helping run the canteen & camp store, and keeping inventory of arts & crafts supplies.

$400 per week

Day Camp Coordinator

Openings: 1

Requirements: Two years of camp experience (one year in a leadership role), 21 years of age or older, and a valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications: Two years of camp experience at Pathways (one year in a leadership role), two years of college, 21 years of age or older, and a valid driver's license.

The Day Camp Coordinator works accordingly with the Program Director, Summer Program Director, Assistant Program Directors and Counselors to ensure the safe and smooth operation of day camp programming at host churches. Duties include leading an off-site congregational Day Camp each week, assisting with packing supplies for day camp, and conducting check-ins with day camp staff. This position will also help coordinate communication between host churches and camp leadership staff. After returning to Camp Emmaus when each day camp concludes, the Day Camp Coordinator will lead and facilitate on-site Friday day camp programming, in conjunction with the Program Director and Summer Program Director. They also serve as a representative for Pathways to pastors, youth directors, parents and volunteers.

$400 per week

Health Care Coordinator

Requirements: Must be 18 years of age or older.

Preferred Qualifications: Former experiences/certifications along with advanced First Aid/CPR and medication administration training, one year of camp experience, two years of college, 21 years of age or older, and a valid driver’s license.

Directly in charge of the health care station including the administration of basic first aid along with the distribution of daily medications to staff and campers, maintaining health forms for campers and staff, and managing food and environmental allergies. After primary duties are fulfilled, they are also tasked with assisting in various activities and leading games, alongside other program leadership staff.

$400 per week

Camp Cook

Openings: 1

Requirements: Knowledge of food preparation, meal planning, hygiene and sanitation, personnel supervision, and recordkeeping. Must be 18 years of age or older.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience cooking and serving over 100 meals per day. State of Minnesota certification is also encouraged. Because Christian faith is central to the mission and daily work of this organization, a person’s understanding of and commitment to the Christian faith and the Christian church is important for this position.

We are looking for a head cook who will be responsible for providing nutritious meals to youth, adults and guests of the camp. Ability to prepare and serve food; plan menus for well-balanced meals; to supervise assistant cook and kitchen crew; to manage food service ordering/purchasing from vendors; willingness to work full-time with flexible hours from mid-May to mid-August.

Kitchen Assistant

Openings: 1

Requirements: Must be 18 years of age or older.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in an industrial kitchen and serving up to 100 guests, must be 18 years of age or older.

Works directly with the head cook to assist in food preparation, serving and clean-up. After primary duties are fulfilled, they will also be present to help with games, worship, and other programming as needed.

$400 per week

Maintenance Assistant

Openings: 1

Requirements: Must be 18 years of age or older.

Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with the grounds of Camp Emmaus, mechanical and shop aptitude, woodworking experience, 21 years of age or older, and a valid driver’s license.
Works directly with the Facilities Director to help with grounds and facilities upkeep, and some small repairs. Upkeep includes taking care of garbage and recycle bins, as well as keeping the bathrooms and shower houses clean.

$375 per week
