Trekkers Adventure

For ages:

This week long program takes campers off the beaten path for a week of serious camping adventures! Team building challenges include a canoe trip, high and low ropes course, biking, environmental education, swimming, and hiking. Not for the faint of heart, this program is all about “roughing it”, but is also open to those with little to no experience. Each day will take them to a new site, and along the way they’ll get to know their fellow adventurers, complete team-building challenges and learn about environmental care, all while exploring their faith in a supportive environment.

Schedule

The schedule each day varies based on travel time between sites and group decisions. Each day will generally include the following:

  • Bible party – As a group, explore the daily theme with games and activities help us dig into Bible stories and talk about God together
  • Travel on the River – See amazing sights and experience God’s creation in a unique way
  • Fun & Games – From Ultimate Frisbee to bracelet making, campers can be themselves and enjoy some great activities!
  • Campsite Care – “Take nothing but photos, leave nothing but footprints”, we strive to maintain the natural beauty of the sites we visit. Campers are empowered to do campsite set up and take down in a low-impact way.
  • Hiking and biking adventures, as well as a trip to the high ropes course!
  • Wilderness Survival/Environmental Education – Campers get a chance to learn more about the nature that surrounds them, and are equipped with knowledge and skills to help them better navigate in wilderness situations.

Packing List

Campers spend almost the entire week outdoors, so check the weather and pack clothing suitable for warm days and cool nights. As all clothing and personal items are carried with campers in the canoes, there is a limit to the amount each camper can bring on the river. We do provide waterproof bags for campers, and staff will help campers re-pack their items from their luggage into the waterproof bags before the first launch.
