Starting & Ending Point – Our journey together will begin in Barnesville, MN on Saturday, June 23rd where we will gather and load the buses to start our journey! Barnesville will also be our last stop on the way home on Monday, July 2nd.

HighlightsDuring our trip, we will be stopping in Topeka, Dallas and Galveston Island! Sites and attractions along the way will include but not be limited to Brown vs. Board of Education National Historic Site, where we will get a guided tour to learn about such an important piece of US History. Our next big outing will be at Six Flags over Texas! This will be a thrilling day of rides, shows, and a picnic! Lastly, before we head to Houston we will stop and have a fun Beach Day on the Gulf of Mexico! There will be plenty of fun to soak up the sun or splash around in the waves!  Bus fun will abound to help mix up the highway time and help the group get to know each other better. There will also be intentional time for worship and devotions throughout our trip together.

Please note: Some programs may change due to scheduling conflicts.

Housing You will stay in hotel accommodations on your journey to Detroit and back. There will be a rooming assignment sheet that will need to be filled out that Pathways will provide.

Transportation – We will be traveling together in charter buses provided by Buffalo River Coaches of Glyndon, MN. Your group will travel together on the buses (larger groups might have to split in two) but will also get a chance to meet other wonderful youth and adults from other towns as well! It is a great way to start the gathering experience and meet others of faith from other areas. Bus fun will be included!

During the Gathering

On the morning of the gathering, June 27th, we will drop you off at your hotel and then we will see you on the last day of the gathering. The time during the gathering is yours as a group to program, coordinate and take point on. We will pick you up the morning of the last day, July 1st, at your hotel and bring you to the closing assembly. After the assembly, we will begin the journey back home together!

What is the cost? $750.00 per person

What is included? All transportation and housing to and from Houston, special event and attraction cost, Pathways staff and programming, 11 meals and an experience you will never forget!

What is not included? Our cost does not cover the National Gathering registration fee, lodging in Houston, meal or any personal expenses during the gathering. It also does not include 5 meals during our trip to and from Houston.

Pathways does not handle registration for the actual gathering itself. As a group, you will need to be responsible for those details.

The trip will be guided, led and programmed by your Pathways staff. We will have two staff members on each bus to provide you with bus fun, devotions, relations and giving you the best experience we can!

Our goal is to communicate strongly with you prior to the trip and help equip you the best we can so it can be a positive experience all around. There will be one meeting that will be vital for your point person or a representative of your group to be present at as we will be going over details of the trip and share important information with you. This meeting will be held in February in conjunction with the synod’s gathering informational meetings. We will also be sending emails to the leaders with any updates and to make sure you feel prepared for the trip together throughout the spring.
