Camp Minne-Wa-Kan encompasses 23 acres with nearly a half-mile of sandy shoreline on Lake Andrusia. One could canoe from Bemidji down the Mississippi to camp in about a day, but most people drive the 17 miles instead. Minne-Wa-Kan is surrounded by the tall trees of the Chippewa National Forest and located within the bounds of the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe Reservation. The waterfront is a highlight at Camp Minne-Wa-Kan with its canoes, kayaks and the swim beach.
Camp Minne-Wa-Kan is available for retreats and groups of all types from September through May. Minne-Wa-Kan is ideal for groups looking for a peaceful place to get away and be refreshed.
During summer, Minne-Wa-Kan is leased to Concordia Language Villages for Spanish Language Camp. Elementary through high school age campers come from all over the US to be immersed in Spanish culture and language.
